Established in October 1997 by Dr. Eric and Cathy Pugh, Hometown Veterinary Services began with their shared passion for animal care. Today, the hospital remains family-owned, with two of Dr. Pugh’s four children working at the clinic.

After 26 years of serving the community, Hometown Veterinary Services had outgrown its existing building. Faced with the opportunity to sell to a corporate entity, Dr. Pugh made a heartfelt decision to stay true to his values and loyal clients by continuing to provide personalized care for their pets. He envisioned a new facility that would not only enhance the level of care provided but also create a better working environment for his dedicated staff. Driven by his commitment to the well-being of every furry family member, Dr. Pugh embarked on the journey to build a state-of-the-art facility that reflects the values of family, compassion, and excellence in veterinary care.
